Chris Johnstone

Dr Chris Johnstone is one of the UK's leading resilience trainers, with more than three decades' experience teaching in this field. He graduated in medicine with distinction in 1986, after a first degree specialising in psychology. Experiencing burnout and depression as a junior hospital doctor, he became a leading figure in the campaign to improve working conditions. He trained as a GP before moving into the mental-health field, where for many years he ran groups teaching resilience skills. Influenced much by positive psychology, he trained with Martin Seligman and other leading practitioners in 2005. Since then he has pioneered the role of resilience training in mental-health promotion, coaching practice and the workplace. Derrick Silove

Professor Silove is the author of Overcoming Panic and the Overcoming Panic and Agoraphobia Self-help Course, along with Vijaya Manicavasagar. He is a clinical psychiatrist and Director of the Centre for Population Mental Health Research and the Psychiatry Research and Teaching Unit at the School of Psychiatry, the University of New South Wales. Kamlesh Patel

Kamlesh D. Patel, also known as Daaji, is the fourth and current spiritual guide of the Heartfulness movement, which teaches a version of Raja Yoga that has been modified to suit the modern era. This lineage of spiritual guides extends back to the turn of the twentieth century. Its first guide, Ram Chandra of Fatehgarh, is widely considered to be the first non-Muslim saint in a lineage of Sufi masters that can be traced back to the sixth century. Born in Gujarat, India, Daaji showed an early interest in meditation and spiritual growth. In 1976, as a pharmacy student in Ahmedabad, he met his guide, Ram Chandra of Shahjahanpur, the second spiritual guide in the Heartfulness tradition and founder and first president of Shri Ram Chandra Mission. After graduating with honors in 1980, Daaji moved to the United States and practiced pharmacy in New York City, while continuing the practice of Heartfulness. After Ram Chandra's passing, Daaji became a devoted disciple of his successor, Parthasarathi Rajagopalachari. In October 2011, Daaji was proclaimed Parthasarathi Rajagopalachari's successor. Following his guide's passing on the December 20, 2014, Daaji became the global guide for Heartfulness practitioners.

Dr Kirstie Anderson is a consultant neurologist and honorary senior lecturer within the Newcastle Regional Sleep Service and Institute of Neuroscience at Newcastle University. She has a national level reputation in the area of CBT for insomnia and is involved in research and training. She has been centrally involved with the updating of the IAPT Low Intensity Curriculum.

Lore Dickey

lore m. dickey is assistant professor in the department of educational psychology at Northern Arizona University. He has a long history of LGBTQ advocacy and social justice work, and has presented throughout the world on trans-affirmative practice with gender diverse people, and recently completed serving as co-chair with Anneliese Singh of the APA task force that developed the Guidelines for Psychological Practice with Transgender and Gender Nonconforming People. His research and clinical work focuses on addressing the needs of gender diverse individuals.
