Thank you for your interest in reproducing an extract from a Little, Brown Book Group title.
First of all, please make sure that the title you would like to use is published by one of our imprints. This can be verified by checking the copyright page or by searching online. A full list of our imprints can be found here.
Please do not send us permissions requests for Little, Brown and Company titles, as these are published by our US counterpart at Hachette Book Group USA. If you would like to contact Little, Brown and Company with your permissions request, please follow the instructions here.
Please also ensure that the extract you would like to use is not attributed to a source other than the author, as we are unable to license third-party quotations. If this is the case, please contact the quoted party or their representatives to request permission.
Please contact our Rights team here if you are interested in translating the full text of a Little, Brown Book Group title for commercial publication, or if you are interested in acquiring US, audio, large print, film, or TV rights in one of our titles.
SUBMITTING A PERMISSIONS REQUEST
Once you have checked that none of the points above apply to your request, please fill in the permissions request form here as fully as possible. Failure to complete the form will significantly delay your request.
Please email your completed permissions form to firstname.lastname@example.org .
Prop Use / Set Dressing
If your request concerns the use of one of our books as a prop or set dressing in a TV show or film, please clearly add ‘PROP REQUEST’ to the subject of the email.
Requests for Multiple Titles
If you would like to quote material from multiple titles published by Little, Brown Book Group, please submit a separate permissions form for each title.
If you are renewing an existing permissions license, please complete a new permissions form and include the reference number of the original license in your application.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
We aim to reply to all permissions requests within six weeks of the date of sending, however during busy periods the response time may be longer. Please do not chase for an answer before this time has elapsed.
We receive a large number of requests, so it is important to submit your request in good time.
Requests are processed in the order in which they are received. Due to the volume of requests we receive we are unable to expedite specific requests.
If you have not received a reply within six weeks or prior to your publication deadline, please do not interpret this as a grant of permission. We will respond to your request as soon as possible.
