Alexia Barrable

Alexia Barrable is an early years educator with a passion for translating scientific research into practice, both in the classroom and at home. She has worked in schools in London and Athens, and has lectured at university level, for Dundee University. Her passion for the outdoors has always permeated her teaching practice. Since becoming a mum she has run a forest playgroup and written extensively on the importance of nature on a balanced childhood. Her first book, Growing Up Happy focused on increasing children's happiness through a set of daily habits.

Allison Hill

Dr. Allison Hill received her MD from Loyola University in Chicago and completed her residency in OB/GYN at Los Angeles County-USC School of Medicine. Dr. Hill is board-certified and a Fellow of the American College of OB/GYN. She is a past Chairman of the Department of OB/GYN and currently serves as the Vice Chief-of-Staff at Good Samaritan Hospital. She was also one of the featured doctors on the acclaimed Discovery Health Network reality show, Deliver Me. Dr. Hill has been in private practice for more than 15 years. The mother of two children, she enjoys spending time with her kids, yoga and running.

Allison Vale

Allison Vale has written more than a dozen books, many of which have indulged a fascination with the obscured lives of women in British history, such as The Lost Art of Being a Lady, How to Push a Perambulator and Amelia Dyer: Angel Maker, a biography of the murderous, thirty-year career of Britain's most prolific baby farmer.She lives near Bristol with her husband, their two children and an unruly dog named Douglas.

Beverley Turner

Beverley Turner founded The Happy Birth Club (formerly The Blooming Bunch) in 2013 to meet the needs of couples in West London wanting fun, informative and non-cringeworthy antenatal classes.She is perhaps best known for her work in the media as a journalist, TV presenter and host of her own phone-in current-affairs show on LBC Radio. Beverley sits on the Royal College of Midwives' Better Births Initiative team and chairs events for IMUK, Birthrights and Doula UK. She is also a trained psychotherapist and hypnotherapist, but she keeps this quiet in case people think she is a weirdo. She has three children and is married to Olympic gold medallist, James Cracknell.

Cathy Creswell

CATHY CRESWELL is a professor of developmental clinical psychology based in the school of psychology and clinical language sciences at the University of Reading and an honorary consultant clinical psychologist and joint director of the University of Reading Anxiety and Depression in Young People (AnDY) clinical research unit.

Duncan Barrable

Duncan Barrable was born in South Africa, where nature was always a constant presence in his upbringing. Weekends on the family farm and long school holidays fishing and beachcombing in a remote cottage without running water and electricity are some of his fondest childhood memories. When not outside, he is a primary school teacher and is passionate about getting kids outdoors and active. He coaches cross country and enjoys running and exploring the local hills where he lives.

Gill Hines is an educator of huge experience. She has worked with a large number of parents, young people and teachers, offering workshops, mentoring and support in a wide variety of issues.

Hilda Glickman

Hilda Glickman is a university lecturer and nutritionist. In her nutrition practice, she specialised in digestive problems with great success. Most of her clients were able to eliminate their IBS and related conditions using the methods in this book. Many had been suffering for years but had never really found the root cause. Once this was discovered and dealt with, they became well very quickly. As a lecturer at the Open University, Hilda taught nurses and other health professionals for many years on the degree module, Health and Disease. She still lectures there and combines that with writing books. Her aim is to share the latest nutritional research with the public in a very accessible, readable and entertaining way

Hollie McNish

Hollie McNish is a published UK poet based between London, Cambridge and Glasgow. She has two poetry collections - Cherry Pie and Papers and an album Versus, which made her the first poet to record at Abbey Road Studios, London.

Jamie Sumner

JAMIE SUMNER is a writer for Parenting Special Needs Magazine as well as a regular contributor to Scary Mommy, Mom.me, Parent.co Magazine, Her View From Home Magazine, Tribe Magazine, Mamalode Magazine, and Complex Child Magazine. Her IVF journey has also been featured on Fox 17 News. She and her husband fought infertility for two years before seeking medical intervention. Jenny Barnett

Dr Jenny Barnett is a neuroscientist and psychologist interested in the genetic and environmental causes of brain health and mental illness. Having trained at Oxford, Cambridge and Harvard universities, Jenny has authored more than 50 scientific publications on topics ranging from new treatments for schizophrenia to the economic impact of dementia. She now works at the intersection of academic and industrial research, designing new technologies to help detect, diagnose and treat brain disorders. Her first book, Growing Up Happy, with Alexia Barrable, was published by Robinson in 2016.

Jon Kabat-Zinn

Jon Kabat-Zinn, PhD, is founding Executive Director of the Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Health Care, and Society at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. He is also the founding director of its renowned Stress Reduction Clinic and Professor of Medicine emeritus at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. He teaches mindfulness and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) in various venues around the world. He received his Ph.D. in molecular biology from MIT in 1971 in the laboratory of Nobel Laureate, Salvador Luria.He is the author of numerous bestselling books about mindfulness and meditation. Overall, his books have been translated into over 30 languages.
