Nicky Crane, Commissioning Editor at Sphere, Little, Brown Book Group has acquired world rights to Mixed in Minutes: 50 quick & easy cocktails to make at home, by mixologist Dan Whiteside. The deal was done directly with the author and the book will publish in hardback and ebook on 7 October 2021.
In Mixed in Minutes, Dan shares secrets of the trade and shows us how we can make bar-quality, delicious drinks without the need for cocktail-making equipment or any difficult techniques. With over fifty recipes for creating classic and contemporary cocktails, from the espresso martini to the perfect mojito, a frozen margarita to a boozy hot chocolate, anyone can recreate their favourite cocktails at home. Beautifully illustrated with full-colour photography, each cocktail includes recommendations for garnishes and seasonal twists, and is partnered with a carbonated drink or tea, to spritz the drink and halve the alcohol content – a growing trend in the cocktail-making industry and a great alternative to sugary mocktails.
Dan has worked in the drinks industry across the globe for over twenty years, and has developed cocktail menus for large restaurant companies, including Bill’s, where he launched the UK’s first nationwide mindful drinking menu, featuring Kombucha cocktails, CBD and healthy hot drinks. He runs his own consulting business, partners with drinks brands and teaches cocktail-making.
