Discovering new literary talent

Blackfriars was the first digital-led literary imprint in the UK when it launched in 2013. Innovative, nimble and, most importantly, driven by an editor’s passion for an author and their writing, it has become an eclectic, wide-ranging but carefully curated list and we are proud of the books and the authors we publish. Our notable successes include: Celeste Ng, whose debut novel Everything I Never Told You published on Blackfriars in 2014; Rob Delaney’s memoir; poet Hollie McNish who won the Ted Hughes prize for poetry in 2017 with her memoir Nobody Told Me; and Victoria, the Queen by Australian journalist and broadcaster Julia Baird which was picked as one of the best books of the year by Janet Maslin at the New York Times.
