Atoosa Sepehr

Atoosa was born in the Iranian city of Shiraz in 1977. She grew up in Iran and studied at Azad University of Tabriz. Having completed her degree in 2000, she moved to Tehran where she worked as a computer programmer for Iritec Company. In 2001, she moved to London to learn English, and also worked as a web designer. She returned to Iran in 2003 to work in the stock market in Tehran in order to learn about business processes before studying for an MBA, which she completed in 2005. Atoosa was inspired to start her own company in the Import and Export field and became the Iranian representative for one of the biggest Iranian steel companies in London. This led to her moving back to London in 2007. She decided to devote more time to her passions of photography and food. She became Food Editor of Classic Magazine, and then decided to fulfil her lifetime ambition to create a Persian cookbook, which has allowed her to focus more on her creativity, and love of food, art and photography. Bridget Surtees

Bridget Surtees is a registered dietitian specialising in paediatric nutrition, eating disorders and nutritional therapy for metabolic syndrome sufferers. Having spent extended spells working at University College Hospital in London and Sydney Children's Hospital in Australia, Bridget has relocated back to Cape Town, where she runs a private dietetics practice, Nutrition4Kids, and works at any addiction clinic for those with eating disorders and sugar addiction. She is married with two children.

Daniel Boulud

Daniel Boulud was born in France in 1955 and trained under renowned chefs Roger Verge, Georges Blanc, and Michel Guerard. He moved to the United States, where he served as Executive Chef at Le Cirque in New York. In 1993 he opened Daniel, Zagat's top-rated New York restaurant for two years running, followed by Café Boulud and DB Moderne. Among numerous other awards, he has been named "Chef of the Year" by Bon Appétit, and has received Gourmet's Top Table award. He lives in New York City.

At the age of nineteen, KENNY McGOVERN was diagnosed with what is known as 'social anxiety disorder' and eventually became too ill to carry on working. As the years passed, he became almost housebound as a result of his illness and as such lost touch with many parts of life which although enjoyable are often taken for granted. Simple pleasures such as buying a nice sandwich from a local café or going out for a meal became impossible for him to do.As a result of this, and because of his love of food and cooking, he eventually took to trying to recreate many of his favourite shop-bought foods at home. 'If I can't go to McDonalds, I'll make my own,' was his philosophy. Over a period of five years or more, he tested and tweaked many, many recipes, his new hobby quickly building into an obsession.In 2010, Kenny decided to publish some selected recipes in his first book The Takeaway Secret - it became an instant bestseller, following word-of-mouth recommendations on the internet.With huge support and encouragement from readers, his confidence has grown, along with his food obsession.
