Annette Yates

Annette Yates was born in South Wales and grew up in the Brecon Beacons. She is married to Huw Thomas and has two grown-up daughters - Emma and Lindsay. After many years living in and around London, Annette now lives near Abergavenny in Monmouthshire, Wales. Her hobbies include walking the Welsh hills, furniture restoration, gardening and, of course, cookery.Annette loves cooking and creating new recipes. Atoosa Sepehr

Atoosa was born in the Iranian city of Shiraz in 1977. She grew up in Iran and studied at Azad University of Tabriz. Having completed her degree in 2000, she moved to Tehran where she worked as a computer programmer for Iritec Company. In 2001, she moved to London to learn English, and also worked as a web designer. She returned to Iran in 2003 to work in the stock market in Tehran in order to learn about business processes before studying for an MBA, which she completed in 2005. Atoosa was inspired to start her own company in the Import and Export field and became the Iranian representative for one of the biggest Iranian steel companies in London. This led to her moving back to London in 2007. She decided to devote more time to her passions of photography and food. She became Food Editor of Classic Magazine, and then decided to fulfil her lifetime ambition to create a Persian cookbook, which has allowed her to focus more on her creativity, and love of food, art and photography. Carolyn Humphries

Carolyn Humphries has been a food writer and editor for many years. She started her career as a chef, but quickly realised she preferred to create food for people to cook at home. Having trained as a journalist, she became a food writer for Woman magazine. She has since written for numerous journals, is the author of over 60 books and has been a consultant, co-writer and editor on many more projects. She is a member both of The Guild of Food Writers and the Institute of Health Promotion and Education. As a busy, working mum she has always needed to feed a hungry family fast and finds the combination microwave a great asset in her kitchen.

Catherine Atkinson

Catherine Atkinson has a degree in Food and Nutrition BSc (Hons). She has been Deputy Cookery Editor on Woman's Weekly magazine and later Cookery Editor of Home. Catherine is now a full-time writer and food consultant to various lifestyle and health magazines and has written more than sixty cookbooks. Coco Morante

COCO MORANTE is a recipe developer and food blogger who runs the extremely popular Instant Pot Recipes Facebook page and writes for her blog LeftySpoon.com. Her recipes are featured in numerous print and online publications, including Simply Recipes, The Kitchn, and Edible Silicon Valley. A self-taught cook and classically-trained soprano, Coco writes and sings in the San Francisco Bay Area, where she lives with her husband and their beagle.

Daniel Boulud

Daniel Boulud was born in France in 1955 and trained under renowned chefs Roger Verge, Georges Blanc, and Michel Guerard. He moved to the United States, where he served as Executive Chef at Le Cirque in New York. In 1993 he opened Daniel, Zagat's top-rated New York restaurant for two years running, followed by Café Boulud and DB Moderne. Among numerous other awards, he has been named "Chef of the Year" by Bon Appétit, and has received Gourmet's Top Table award. He lives in New York City.

Isa Chandra Moskowitz

Isa Chandra Moskowitz is the best-selling author of the hit books Isa Does It, Vegan with a Vengeance, and many other titles. Her website, Post Punk Kitchen, is beloved by millions. Isa has been cooking up a vegan storm for over two decades and has been named favorite cookbook author in VegNews for seven years running. She was raised and currently lives in Brooklyn, New York.

Jan Braai

JanBraai's real name is Jan Scannell and he lives to braai, or barbecue. He is the founder and driving force behind South Africa's hugely successful and popular National Braai Day, held on 24 September each year, which brings together all South Africans through their shared love of cooking outdoors over a fire. Archbishop Emeritus of Cape Town Desmond Tutu, who 'likes T-bone steaks, because they are in the shape of Africa', is the day's patron. Judy Ridgway is an acclaimed food writer and international expert on olive oil. Kenny McGovern

At the age of nineteen, KENNY McGOVERN was diagnosed with what is known as 'social anxiety disorder' and eventually became too ill to carry on working.
