Dr. Jennifer Gunter

Jen Gunter, MD, is an OB/GYN and a pain medicine physician. She writes a lot about sex, science, and social media, but sometimes she writes about other things because, well, why not? She has been called Twitter's resident gynecologist, the Internet's OB/GYN, and one of the fiercest advocates for women's health. She first started her quest to help provide quality information by writing The Preemie Primer, a guide for parents of premature babies. Dr. Val Wilson

Dr Val Wilson holds a PhD in Health Education from the University of Kent. Her thesis concerned effective self-management of diabetes. She also hold an MSc in Health Education and Health Promotion from Canterbury Christ Church University. Dr Wilson has published widely in nursing and healthcare journals, and has had Type 1 diabetes for 41 years.

Graham Easton

Dr Graham Easton is a practising GP, Fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners and a Senior Clinical Teaching Fellow at Imperial College Medical School where he trains medical students and junior doctors in general practice. He has twenty years' experience as a successful communicator of medical ideas to the non-medical public. He was senior producer and presenter in the BBC Science Unit, launching and presenting Radio 4's Case Notes and a range of other programmes. James F. Fries, MD, is Professor of Medicine, Emeritus, at Stanford University. His work involves the study of health outcomes and how to improve them, prevention of disease by reduction in health risks, self-care techniques, and health economics. He has published over 300 scientific articles and 11 books.

James Le Fanu

James Le Fanu has combined a career as a General Practitioner in South London with writing about medicine and science for the Sunday and Daily Telegraph. He has also contributed articles and reviews to The Times, Spectator, New Statesman, Literary Review, British Medical Journal and Journal of The Royal Society of Medicine. His much acclaimed 'The Rise and Fall of Modern Medicine' won the Los Angeles Times book prize in 2001. Michael A. Tompkins

Michael A. Tompkins, PhD, ABPP, is codirector of the San Francisco Bay Area Center for Cognitive Therapy; assistant clinical professor at the University of California, Berkeley; and a diplomate and founding fellow of the Academy of Cognitive Therapy. Tompkins specializes in the treatment of anxiety disorders and obsessive compulsive spectrum disorders in adults, adolescents, and children. He is the author or coauthor of numerous articles on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and related topics, as well as seven books, including three books published by New Harbinger Publications, Digging Out, OCD: A Guide for the Newly Diagnosed, and Anxiety and Avoidance.
