Albert Ellis

Albert Ellis (1913-2007) held M.A and Ph.D. degrees in Clinical Psychology from Columbia University. He was the founder of Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), the pioneering form of the modern Cognitive Behavior therapies. He was the president of the Albert Ellis Institute in New York, where he practiced individual and group psychotherapy, supervised and trained psychotherapists, and presented many talks and workshops at the Institute and throughout the world. He published over seven hundred articles and more than sixty books on psychotherapy, marital and family therapy, and sex therapy.

Amber Hatch

Amber Hatch is a writer, teacher, and childminder. She is established as a parenting and a mindfulness expert. Amber began to practise daily Buddhist meditation with the Samatha Centre in 2009. Since 2013 she has helped to organise family retreats at the centre in Wales. She has run numerous classes and groups for parents in Oxford, including a natural parenting toddler group and a mindfulness support group for parents. Her parenting book, Nappy Free Baby, was published by Vermillion in 2015. With her illustrator husband, Alex Ogg, she created Colouring for Contemplation (Watkins 2015), and More Colouring for Contemplation (Watkins, 2016).

Annie Broadbent

Annie Broadbent is a psychosynthesis counsellor and works in private practice in central London. She is also founder and director of workplace wellbeing company Retune, which offers customised wellbeing away days for business. Before writing her first book, We Need to Talk About Grief (now Speaking of Death), she trained as a clinical volunteer at St. Christopher's hospice and supported child bereavement events run by 'The Candle Project'. She does talks for Death Salons and Death Café's and occasionally writes for various publications on a number of mental health and wellbeing issues.

Bob Deits

Bob Deits, B.A. in Psychology and M.Th. in Pastoral Psychology, has been involved in pastoral counseling for nearly three decades, has conducted grief support groups since 1982, and lectures extensively. He lives in Mesa, Arizona.

Celeste Headlee

Celeste Headlee is the host of the daily news show On Second Thought on Georgia Public Broadcasting. She has spent more than a decade with National Public Radio and has been a host of Public Radio International since 2008. Celeste has appeared on CNN, the BBC, PBS and MSNBC. She's also a classically trained soprano who doesn't get enough time to sing anymore. She has one son and a one rescue dog, and lives in Atlanta, GA.

Cherry Gilchrist
