Guide to Investing in Gold and Silver

Michael Maloney
Authors:
Michael Maloney

First published in 2008, the book quickly became a bestseller not just for its timely insight into precious metals investment -- but for its amazingly accurate prediction of a 'Roller Coaster Crash' -- the manipulated whipsaw between inflation, deflation and back again. In this latest update to his book, author Michael Maloney adds his thoughts on what has played out so far, what we may be facing soon, and how gold and silver can help you transform the coming economic storm into a once in a lifetime opportunity. Gold & Silver have served as the ultimate safe-haven from financial chaos throughout history, and today is no exception. All the underlying fundamentals that caused the financial meltdown of 2008 have not been solved, but have been magnified by the actions of the world's central banks. The bailouts, currency creation, market manipulation, derivatives expansion, and growth of the "too big to fail" banks only guarantee that the next crisis will make the crash of 2008 look like a speed-bump on the way to the main event. Never in history has the global economy stood at such a precipice, and never in history has it been more vital to understand how, why and where to invest in gold and silver.

Management Starts With You

Alan Hester

Management Starts With You is a wise, honest and practical guide to success in this challenging but fascinating role.Among many powerful insights we learn that:. Before we can successfully manage others we first need to manage ourselves.· Most of us do not naturally know how to manage, but we can learn.· Life as a manager is easier when we stop thinking about the effect of our actions on ourselves and think instead about their effect on others.· People don't want to be managed, but they absolutely need the security of being led.· Being respected is much more important than being liked!· Traditional time management techniques don't work for managers, so we need to rethink our approach to this most precious of all resources.· What we focus on we get more of; so we need to focus on the right things.

Play Bigger

Al Ramadan, Dave Peterson, Christopher Lochhead, Kevin Maney
Authors:
Al Ramadan, Dave Peterson, Christopher Lochhead, Kevin Maney

In today's world, it's no longer enough to create great new products; rather companies now must create whole new categories that destroy old ones. Uber created a new personal transportation category and destroyed taxis and limos. Salesforce.com created a new category of cloud-base sales automation, dethroning the old CRM industry. Airbnb, Workday, Tesla and Netflix are all winning by creating entirely new business categories that destabilise old ones. The category is the new strategy. The conclusion: If you want to build a legendary company, you need to design and build a legendary category at the same time, and dominate it over time. Your company needs to be a Category King. And if you don't design a Category King, you're creating a failure. Drawing on examples from within and beyond our own practice, PLAY BIGGER shows both entrepreneurs and established enterprises how to define, develop and rule a category over time.

The Golden Rules

Bob Bowman
Authors:
Bob Bowman

Since 2004 no Olympic athlete has received more international exposure than Michael Phelps. And by his side throughout this period has been his coach, Bob Bowman. The two men met when Phelps was just 11 years old. Bowman sensed that the kid had talent - lots of it - but he also knew that raw ability would take Phelps only so far. He would need a plan; a roadmap for success. Now, for the first time, Bowman reveals the philosophy that governs his approach to coaching both Phelps and other Olympic-calibre athletes, and provides a revealing look at what it takes to achieve greatness. His 10-step method consists of golden rules that anyone can apply to reach their goals in the personal or professional sphere.Writing in a candid and heartfelt style that is illuminated by spirited anecdotes from over the years coaching a very diverse group of athletes, Bowman will teach you how to get gold out of everyday by setting goals and getting motivated to achieve them. By following The Golden Rules, you will learn to visualise your goals, and that above all else, dedication to your training, your job or any area you are seeking to triumph in is paramount for success.

Rock Your Presentation

Nigel Barlow
Authors:
Nigel Barlow

Nearly all of us have to pitch or present our ideas, whether in a formal setting after lunch to a hundred jaded salespeople, in a lecture theatre or classroom, putting over our thoughts to a team of colleagues, or even selling a concept one-on-one to your boss.In all these situations we can choose between delivering a message that sounds like muzak, or one that wakes the listener up. Most presentations and pitches could benefit from being 'rocked up' - becoming more dynamic and memorable, in ways that arouse the passion of the audience. By applying the ideas in ROCK YOUR PRESENTATION you can deliver better, livelier and more emotionally engaging talks which leave audiences with the kind of high you get from being in a crowd at a great concert.Barlow applies the rock'n'roll metaphor throughout the book, turning what, to many, is a stressful subject into an exciting and fun exercise you can't wait to try out. So take the Van Halen approach to planning your presentation, deliver it like a hit song with a chorus and a bridge, play a few well-rehearsed power chords and set your audience ablaze.
