Paul Peacock

Author Paul Peacock has written over 30 books on gardening, self sufficiency, curing meats, making cheese and sausages, keeping bees and poultry. He writes for the Daily Mirror as Mr Digwell, the cartoon gardener - the longest running gardening newspaper column in the world. He has been a regular contributor to BBC Radio 4's Gardener's Question Time and appeared on numerous television shows. He runs the www.citycottage.co.uk website dedicated to the simple idea that the best food you will ever eat is cooked at home.Pauls passion for fish was kickstarted by a plate of fritto misto de mare, which remains his favourite dish (recipe in the book) and queenies cooked in cream topped with cheddar( recipe also in this book)!He believes the best fish in the world come from UK waters, that's why everyone buys it, far and wide, and, as Paul points out in this book, it is a tragedy the British hardly eat any of it.This book is hopefully a tiny step on the way to changing that.
David Pearson

Dr David Pearson is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist with a career in the NHS, both as a clinician and manager of services. Together with Dr Fiona Kennedy he has co-edited Cognitive Behavioural Approaches to the Understanding and Treatment of Dissociation (Routledge 2013). David has also co-authored The Dream Mentoring Manuals, which form a training scheme in mental health by demystifying technical/clinical terms into everyday language. David has also published in a wide range of peer reviewed scientific journals as well as articles in mental health/psychology professional magazines. On a personal level David has found the production of The Dream Mentoring Manuals a great challenge as they provide the basis of available training schemes designed to work with children who are disadvantaged and often on the edges of survival.

Michael Peppiatt served as literary editor for Le Monde and arts correspondent for The New York Times and the Financial Times. He is considered the world expert on Bacon and has curated several groundbreaking Bacon exhibitions, notably 'Francis Bacon: The Sacred and the Profane' and 'Francis Bacon in the 1950s'. He lives in London and Paris.

MICHAEL PERKINS is the author of six collections of poetry. The Secret Record, literary criticism, was published by William Morrow in 1976. The Good Parts, selected book reviews, appeared in 1994. Among his other works of fiction and non-fiction are the novels Evil Companions, Dark Matter and Burn. His poems and essays have apeared in The Village Voice, Younger Critics of North America, The Nation, Mother Jones, Paper, Notre Dame Review, Exquisite Corpse, Big Bridge, Talisman, Rain Taxi and American Book Review. He was the Leydig Trust's Writer of the Year in Great Britain in 2002, the recipient of the 2007 Obelisk Award for Lifetime Achievement and the 1957 Dunbar Poetry Prize. Carpe Diem, New and Selected Poems, appeared in 2011.
