But nothing could be further from the truth...Annie wakes to find herself in a remote mountain location with only her kidnapper, "The Freak", for company. Subjected to his sadistic treatment for over a year Annie eventually escapes, but begins to suspect that someone in her former life wanted her gone - and isn't pleased she's back.'Stevens skilfully juxtapositions the back story of Annie's captivity, with the front story of a woman desperately trying to reclaim her old life.
