Her most recent work, Your Life Is a Book, was a monthly Oprah book club selection. Bridget Flynn Walker

Bridget Flynn Walker, PhD, is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley. Walker received her PhD from the California School of Professional Psychology in 1991. In addition to fellowships at UCLA, Norwalk Hospital (Norwalk, CT) and Kaiser Permanente, Walker completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship with Jeffrey Martin, PhD-an anxiety disorder specialist and professor at UCSF Medical School. For the past fifteen years, Walker's private practice has exclusively focused on assessing and treating children, adolescents, and adults with anxiety disorders and on training other mental health professionals to do the same using cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Walker's consultation and teaching services are requested by mental health professionals throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, and she is frequently asked to educate and guide school professionals in San Francisco and Marin Counties. Walker works closely with a team of pediatricians at Golden Gate Pediatrics, and regularly consults with leaders of the San Francisco Psychotherapy Research Group.

Damian Chandler

DAMIAN CHANDLER was born in Toronto Canada and raised on the island of Barbados. His ministry journey started in a small church housed in the basement of his uncle's home. With only nine members, the burden of the ministry fell equally on the shoulders of all, including 16-year-old Damian. That small church created his spiritual hunger and formed the foundation of his call to ministry.He holds a Masters of Divinity; founded Impact Youth Ministries, an urban youth ministry focused on developing teens with a contagious and fearless faith; and has served churches in Seattle, Huntsville, and now Sacramento, where he is senior pastor of Capitol City SDA Church.Damian is passionate about ministry but he is even more passionate about family. After years of dedicated pursuit, God gave him the desire of his heart and a partner in life, his wife Tanzy Chandler. They later added to their partnership daughter Zoe and sons Salem and Levi.

Don Metz

Editor and professional architect Don Metz is a partner in the architectural firm of Metz and Thornton. He started his career in the energy-efficient house design business in 1972 with his award-winning Winston House. He was the consultant for the book The Underground House Book by fellow Storey author Stu Campbell. Don also wrote Superhouse and edited Storey's New Compact House Designs, and edited The Compact House Book. Metz has also written two novels, Catamount Bridge and King of the Mountain. Donna H DiCello

Donna H. DiCello, PsyD, is a licensed clinical psychologist in full-time practice, and is also an assistant clinical professor at the Yale University School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry. She is the former associate director of the doctoral program in clinical psychology at the University of Hartford. DiCello has published and presented widely on the topic of Italian American mental health and grief and bereavement issues.

Jamie A. Micco

Jamie A. Micco, PhD, is clinical psychologist in the child and adolescent cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) program atMassachusetts General Hospital, and associate professor of psychology at Harvard Medical School. She is the directorof the Intensive Outpatient CBT Service within the Child and Adolescent CBT Program. Micco received her PhD inpsychology from Boston University, where she completed her clinical and research training at the Center for Anxiety andRelated Disorders. She specializes in CBT for children, adolescents, and adults with anxiety and mood disorders. Herresearch primarily focuses on information-processing biases, and novel treatments for remediating these biases, in anxiousand depressed youth.

Jason Delgado

Jason Delgado is an accomplished sniper, entrepreneur, tattoo artist, and father. He escaped the dangers of life in the streets in the Bronx only to battle for his life in Iraq during two combat tours as a Marine Scout Sniper. One of the most important snipers and instructors of the modern era, Delgado helped shape the future of sniping for American special operators while serving as MARSOC's first lead sniper instructor. He is currently working for a security services contractor in Afghanistan.

Jennifer Vanderbes

Jennifer Vanderbes is a graduate of Yale and the University of Iowa, where she also taught. Her short story 'The Hatbox' was published to critical acclaim in Best New American Voices 2000. She is 27, lives in New York, and teaches Creative Writing at Colgate University.

Judith Collins

Author and Social Ecologist Judith Collins is a well-known writer and public speaker. With 40 years of experience in healing, education and organic farming, she has become a regular on television and radio. In 1983, she was awarded the prestigious Advance Australia award in recognition for her contribution to the community. She lectures, writes for a number of magazines and conducts workshops around Australia and internationally. She lives in the Southern Highlands, New South Wales.

Kai Wright

Kai Wright is a writer and editor whose work explores the politics of sex, race, and health. He contributes to a variety of independent and community-based publications ranging from Mother Jones to Essence magazine. He is the author of Drifting Toward Love: Black, Brown, Gay and Coming of Age on the Streets of New York (Beacon Press, January 2008) and Soldiers of Freedom (Black Dog & Leventhal, 2003). He lives in Brooklyn, New York.
