  • £16.99

In the vein of bestselling authors Tim Keller and Scott Sauls, Adam Dressler offers a unique and needed perspective on prayer, inviting you into a deeper friendship with God.

THIS IS HOW WE PRAY offers a fresh invitation to examine how we pray. Theology and doctrine can feel overwhelming. And specific devotional practices can feel too limiting. Instead, this book offers a unique and needed perspective on prayer, inviting you into a more intimate friendship with God.

Through personal anecdotes, biblical stories, ancient wisdom, and modern insights from spiritual writers, philosophers, and even cooking documentaries, Adam Dressler walks through the realities we face in the midst of our everyday lives, and then shows how they can direct us towards a deeper friendship with God through our prayers.

God promises to meet with us. THIS IS HOW WE PRAY points to this timeless truth and reminds us that we can experience this promise right where we are.

We all have things that are trying to hold us back: guilt from past mistakes, temptations that we can't seem to overcome, or dysfunctions that have been passed down. It's easy to learn to live with these problems and accept them as who we are. We can all find a reason to live like we're at a disadvantage and become negative and bitter-we came down with an illness, somebody walked out of a relationship, our boss overlooked us. But we have to say, "I'm done making excuses. I'm not going to let the past keep me from moving forward and benefitting from the good things God has in store." It is time to say, "It is finished."In his new book, Next Level Thinking, Joel Osteen wrote that we weren't created to go through life weighed down by addictions, dysfunction, guilt, or the past. God created us to be free. Now, in the NEXT LEVEL THINKING JOURNAL, Joel Osteen offers practical guidance to help you overcome past hurt, mistakes, and guilt. As you are challenged with readings, Biblical wisdom, and thought-provoking questions, you will learn to enjoy the life God intended for you.

Midnight Lullabies

Lauren Eberspacher
Authors:
Lauren Eberspacher

Moms, you need these words of hope and light during the early days while you cradle your new baby in the midnight hours.Often, mothers are told about the joyful, exciting things that they are about to embark on as they enter into parenthood. What people fail to share is the hard seasons of motherhood: loneliness, anxiety, depression, insecurity, comparison, disconnect with the Lord and their husbands, and loss of identity. These seasons can consume their hearts and steal their joy, leaving them hopeless and full of shame. Most mothers hide during this time, thinking that they are alone or that something is wrong with them. The simple truth is that having children changes everything. But so does Jesus. His Word can breathe life into every space, and MIDNIGHT LULLABIES meets the weary mama in the trenches of motherhood while she does Kingdom work within the four walls of her home, shining light and giving hope when it seems most far away.In MIDNIGHT LULLABIES, over 31 days, Lauren Eberspacher explores those places of motherhood that are often left unspoken. While embarking on her own journey of being a mama, she has encountered seasons that shocked and surprised her. But there is always hope. As a storyteller, Lauren takes the everyday moments and gives biblical insight to the mother facing these hard seasons, giving the reader a sense that they are having a conversation with a friend around a cozy kitchen table.Mothers often just want to hear another mom say she's in it with them. And when Eberspacher addresses these hard issues, she not only says, "I've been there; I understand," but she follows it with, "But God." Eberspacher shows that Jesus can be found in every moment of motherhood and that His strength and His Word are enough for you.
