Etched...Upon My Heart

By Jill Kelly

Bestselling author Jill Kelly emboldens readers to embrace all of life's experiences as the precious gifts of a loving and transforming God.

Every Christian parent today wrestles with the challenge of how to raise kids in a God-honoring, morally sound way. In ETCHED . . . UPON MY HEART, Jill Kelly offers up the unforgettable episodes of her life-some sorrowful, others filled with joy-as a "living epistle" to her daughters. For the many other Christian mothers who also long to pass on their hard-won knowledge of God's steadfast love and healing grace to their children, Kelly's down-to-earth reflections provide an inspiring example.

As she writes, "God will break our hearts, but He will hold the pieces. He will cradle us and redeem every tear we cry." Although great personal pain-her young son Hunter's death, her husband's infidelity-informs these pages, Kelly's story is ultimately one of forgiveness, reconciliation, and hope. Through the moments in time that Jill Kelly recounts, readers will recognize the daily reality and eternal value of God's plan for their own lives.

Make Your Mark

Wrestling with one's calling in life is a fundamental struggle for just about everyone. Those seeking to live the Christian life, however, struggle to discover God's purpose for their lives and what it means to live that out on a daily basis.Brad Gray is a biblical teacher who unpacks the story of Samson to show how there is more to this man than his long hair and superhuman strength. Samson's story is about how he lost sight of God long before he lost his secret power. It's a story for humanity because it's about humanity. Samson was called by God to be a Nazirite, someone who is not allowed to kill. He strayed from this calling and each deviation escalated in degree: he started with a lion and went on to kill three thousand men and women.Brad takes this fascinating story and explores what it means to live out God's fullest design. When we understand how Samson missed his calling, perhaps we can learn how not to miss our own.

A Season In Hell

Marilyn French

In 1992, Marilyn French was told she had one year to live. A smoker of 48 years she was diagnosed as having cancer of the oesophagus, a cancer which is almost always fatal. Five years on, having battled with chemotherapy and radiotherapy, a heart attack and her back breaking, she is very much alive. And - astonishingly - her body shows no sign of cancer. A SEASON IN HELL is a remarkable, unsentimental, life-affirming journey from an indomitable woman who brought the fighting power she has always brought to the war between the sexes, to the war that for a while raged from within her.

The Church Awakening

Charles R. Swindoll

In THE CHURCH AWAKENING, Charles R. Swindoll discusses the challenges, struggles, and priorities of the church in the 21st century. He reveals the problems inherent in the entertainment-based postmodern church and shows how a return to biblical teaching will restore its strength and impact. Now being replaced by a feel-good message instead of what Christians need to know to stand strong in a world that's lost its way, Swindoll exposes the problems and offers solutions for the postmodern evangelical church. Just as he opened readers' eyes with his bold statements in The Grace Awakening, Swindoll now explains how to reestablish the church as a life-altering experience, based on the principles of Jesus' teaching.
