Catherynne M. Valente
Catherynne M. Valente is the New York Times bestselling author of over two dozen works of fiction and poetry, including Palimpsest, the Orphan's Tales series, Deathless and the crowdfunded phenomenon The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making. She is the winner of the Andre Norton, Tiptree, Mythopoeic, Rhysling, Lambda, Locus and Hugo awards. She has been a finalist for the Nebula and World Fantasy Awards. She lives on an island off the coast of Maine with a small but growing menagerie of beasts, some of which are human.
Jennifer Vanderbes is a graduate of Yale and the University of Iowa, where she also taught. Her short story 'The Hatbox' was published to critical acclaim in Best New American Voices 2000. She is 27, lives in New York, and teaches Creative Writing at Colgate University.
Denise Vega wrote her first children's book when she was twelve years old. Her short stories have been published in a number of children's magazines including Spider, Highlights and Pockets. Gore Vidal was at the centre of literary and intellectual life for half a century and wrote 'The Narratives of a Golden Age' series as well as countless bestsellers. He died on 31st July 2012.
