Award given to author who predicted the credit crisis

Gillian Tett, who was practically a lone voice in predicting the credit crisis some years before it happened, has named the  Business and Finance Journalist of the Year at the 2009 British Press Awards.

The awards were announced at an event hosted by Jon Snow on 31 March.

We publish her book Fool's Gold: How Unrestrained Greed Corrupted a Dream, Shattered Global Markets and Unleashed a Catastrophe on 30th April.
