Announcing an exciting Virago Modern Classics Event!

Author Salley Vickers will be in conversation with Dr Clemence Schultze, chairperson of the Barbara Pym Society, at St Michael's Church, Barnes on Saturday 17th April at 7.00pm.  They will be discussing the life and works of the acclaimed writer Barbara Pym, in celebration of the re-issue of the Pym classic, Less Than Angels - published this year with a new introduction by Salley Vickers.  Entry is free and refreshments will be served from 6.00pm.

When in 1977 the TLS asked critics to name the most underrated authors of the past 75 years, only one was named twice (by Philip Larkin and Lord David Cecil): Barbara Pym.  Virago have been proud to re-issue the works of Barbara Pym since 2003.
