Linda Grant, Stella Duffy, Lauren Liebenberg and Jennifer Egan have all been named on the longlist for the Orange Broadband Prize for Fiction 2008.
Former winner Linda Grant is in the running again with The Clothes on Their Backs, and she is joined by second-time nominee Stella Duffy, for The Room of Lost Things, former National Book Award finalist Jennifer Egan, for The Keep, and debut novelist Lauren Liebenberg for The Voluptuous Delights of Peanut Butter and Jam.
The shortlist will be announced on April 8th, with the winner being named at the awards ceremony in London on June 4th.
The Prize was set up in 1996 to celebrate and promote fiction by women throughout the world to the widest range of readers possible and is awarded for the best novel of the year written by a woman in the English language.
