The Little, Brown Series of Poker

Forty players, 2,000 chips each, Anthony Holden and son, and one trophy up for grabs. Yes, it was the Little, Brown Series of Poker, which raised £229 for the National Year of Reading charity.

I’m pleased to report that all of the Little, Brown Book Group players fared well (or at least didn’t bust out in the first ten minutes). Three made it to the final table, with Anna finishing sixth (she had also knocked out Anthony Holden), Anniina 5th and Julian 3rd. The tournament was won by Trevor Crosse of Bristows, who was very happy to claim the trophy (though he would have liked the champagne!). Sam Holden came second, father cheering him on.

Tension on the final table, Julian is all in (he doubled up).

In 3rd place, proud recipient of a signed copy of Holden on Hold’em.

Sam Holden in 2nd place, honestly it wasn’t a fix!

Sam Holden in second place, honestly it wasn’t a fix!

And the winner!

And the winner!
