An Author-Created Book Trailer for The Shakespeare Curse!

Sphere published the thrilling page-turner that is The Shakespeare Curse back in January, and author JL Carrell has since made this amazing trailer:

ABOUT THE BOOK:
A brutally murdered body is discovered on a remote Scottish hillside – with a mysterious ancient knife beside it. The victim was a beautiful young woman, throat slashed by an unknown assailant. The circumstances of the murder suggest ancient Pagan sacrifice.

Then a trench on that same hill is found filled with blood. The shocking discoveries all seem to be linked by the ancient curse of Macbeth.

From the streets of New York to the twisting corridors of Hampton Court Palace to a remote loch in the Scottish Highlands, the race is on to stop a deadly modern serial killer who will do anything to uncover priceless ancient treasures…

A thrilling, action-packed page-turner, The Shakespeare Curse blends present-day crime with fascinating revelations from the life and work of Shakespeare.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR (From the author herself!):
I've wanted to be a writer for as long as I can remember. Early on, my fallback career choices were ballerina and astronaut. Much later, I thought I'd become a Shakespeare professor; I have degrees in medieval and Renaissance English Lit from Harvard, Oxford, and Stanford. Through some strange twists and turns, I've circled back to writing.

Storytelling should be an adventure, not just the stringing-together of other people's adventures. On the trail of stories, I have: rappelled from a six-story tower using an emergency hand-tied halter (while writing about the training of firefighters); tracked mountain lions on mule-back through the mountain range Geronimo used as home base and hideout; held Yo-Yo Ma's cello; ridden the roller-coaster ride of a professional cutting horse (herding cattle); and posed for David Hockney on a BBC set while stuffed into a medieval gown originally made for Star Trek, with a red-velvet turban improvised from a set of men's pants perched on my head. From the sublime to the ridiculous -- and all of it wondrous

I live in the States, in Tucson, Arizona, with my husband, son, two dogs, and three cats (who try to help me type out my manuscripts).
