Give up on giving up

How are your New Year resolutions going?  Let me guess:

•    You lasted a whole eight hours without alcohol and then a full day at work turned you back to the bottle
•    Your diet went out of the window because rabbit food just isn’t what you need when it’s cold, dark and wet outside
•    You joined the gym, went once and then gave up when you lost the use of your limbs for a week after five minutes on the treadmill.

Sound familiar? If all you need is a little inspiration to get back on track then we do have some great books to help you.  May I suggest The Wine Diet? Or, instead of making resolutions that just aren’t any fun, why don’t you try something a little more positive?  And wouldn’t you know, I have a couple of suggestions:

Do something a little out of the ordinary

'What'? you ask?  Create a TV ad for Patricia Cornwell perhaps?  Get involved and you could win £2500!  Along with your masterpiece being aired on prime-time national TV, of course.  For hints, tips, and terms and conditions, see the competition microsite.

Go somewhere new

Shakespeare country sound any good?  We have two nights B&B for two people in a Neo-gothic mansion along with tickets to a RSC production in Stratford-upon-Avon.  What are you waiting for? Enter the competition now.

I bet you feel better already.
