Welcome to the inaugural Little, Brown Big Bake Off!

On 7th December, taste buds were out in force at the Little, Brown Book group office in Blackfriars. The inaugural Little, Brown Big Bake Off saw talented (and very competitive) cooks from the company enter large and small cakes in order to scoop first place prizes in each category.

The judging panel of Nick Ross, Alice Davis, Ursula Mackenzie and Viv Redman had the difficult but enviable job of eating their way through the many entries and crowning the baking champions. The cakes were then sold off to the rest of the staff to raise money for PEN and a wonderful total of over £160 was reached.

The winning cooks each won a bottle of champagne and an obligation to bake lots more cakes for their colleagues in future ... The competition was inspired by Sphere's December reissue of the classic Mary Berry book Fast Cakes.
