Hachette UK wins silver

Hachette UK, in partnership with The BIO Agency (Big Ideas Online), received a silver award at the 2012 Digital Impact Awards on Tuesday evening. The Awards, founded in 2011 by Communicate Magazine, are Europe’s most prominent programme of recognition of excellence in digital stakeholder communications and the UK’s largest celebration of digital communication.

The ceremony, hosted by comedian and Blue Peter resident science expert Steve Mould, took place at London’s The Brewery and included awards for social media, SEO, mobile communication and viral campaigns, among numerous other categories. Over five hundred attendees from a wide range of businesses and industries, including those from shortlisted companies such as Tesco, The BBC, HarperCollins, O2 and Microsoft. For a full list of winners, please see the Digital Impact website. The entries were judged by thirty senior communications professionals.

Hachette UK were awarded silver for ‘best use of digital in a change or rebrand situation’ for the group’s new range of websites, which recreate the experience of browsing in a traditional bookshop online.  We are extremely proud to have received this accolade, and hope you enjoy our new site.
