The Writers' and Artists' Yearbook (published by A & C Black) and The Writer's Handbook (published by Macmillan) contain the addresses of all UK literary agents. You can also find UK Agents' contact details on the Writersservices.com site, as provided by The Writer's Handbook.
While we strongly prefer submissions to be sent via an agent, we do occasionally accept unsolicited material. To submit a proposal, please send a letter of enquiry outlining the work to:
Submissions Department
Little, Brown Book Group
100 Victoria Embankment
London
EC4Y 0DY
Due to the large amount of unsolicited material we receive, it can take up to eight weeks for a reply. Please enclose a stamped self-addressed envelope if you would like the material returned.
Little, Brown Book Group accepts no responsibility for proposals sent to us. If you would like acknowledgement that your submission has arrived, please include a stamped self-addressed postcard that we will return to you on receipt of the material. We do not charge to read submissions.
We do not accept e-mailed book proposals.
